5,568-Acre Wildfire Near Limon Fully Contained After Multi-Day Response
After a long few days, starting out on Tuesday, February 17th, the fire and smoke reports have finally ceased. At over 5568 acres, the community witnessed it’s first large fire for the year. With strong coordination of fire departments from Denver to Flagler, the fire was eventually stopped.

Thank you to the community for being good neighbors and helping one another. Thank you to all of the volunteers who worked so diligently to ensure everyone was safe The thank-you’s are never ending as a smoke clears after a long week.
