A memorial celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Roy Gueswel will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Crosswinds Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jim Kramer and Pastor Darwin Enicks co-officiating.

 

Obituary

Roy was born on April 08, 1944 at Fort Collins, Colorado to Louie Joseph and Cora Helen (Lindsey) Gueswel and passed away on March 05, 2026 at his home in Lamar, Colorado with his family by his side at the age of 81.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Linda Gueswel.

Roy is survived by his wife Pat Gueswel of the family home in Lamar, CO, his children Royale (Matt) Lockhart of Post Falls, ID, Roice (Jef) Mumford of McClave, CO and Robin Gueswel of Lamar, CO, grandchildren Michael (Samantha) Gueswel, Mike Lockhart, Kenny (Jazmine) Lockhart, Vicky Lockhart, Becky Lockhart, Jefry Jon “J.J.” Mumford, Samuel Mumford, Izabeth Mumford, Eli Snowbarger, Leroy Heffley, Patrick (Kelly) Nelson and Garret Armijo. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, brother Carl Ray (Jan) Gueswel of Bellvue, CO, bonus daughter Barbara (Anthony) Manswell, bonus grandchildren William “Charlie” Ferris, Tucker Hobden, Sheldon Clevenger and Haiven Appel as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
