One Deceased, One Seriously Injured in Suspected Domestic Violence Related Incident
March 13, 2026 – CBI – Rocky Ford, CO – The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Rocky Ford Police Department with a death investigation.
At 2:44 A. M. Rocky Ford Police were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of North 5th Street on a report of a shooting.
Responding officers located a 46-year old male with a fatal gunshot wound. Resuscitation efforts were attempted but were unsuccessful. A 42-year old female was also located inside the house with serious injuries and was transported to Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center by ambulance.
The incident remains under investigation by the Rocky Ford Police Department and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and no further details can be released at this time.
