Springfield Police Respond to Patrol Car Selfie with a Simple Message: Don’t Get Arrested

Every once in a while, someone we arrest decides the back seat of a patrol car is the perfect place for a selfie.

We’re not exactly sure what the appeal is. The lighting isn’t great, the legroom is questionable, and the overall ride tends to end at a place most people would rather avoid. Sometimes those selfies get sent to friends. Every now and then those friends are nice enough to share them with us.

This one recently made its way to the Springfield Police Department, and it appears the passenger’s review of our transportation service was… less than enthusiastic. For the record, our patrol cars are designed for safe and secure transportation, not luxury travel.

If you’d prefer not to experience the back seat of one, the easiest solution is pretty simple. Don’t do things that get you arrested.
