Fatal Crash Closes West Larimer County Road 72
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes
(Larimer County, COLO) – On March 24, 2026, at about 3:52 a.m., the Colorado State Patrol responded to the area of Larimer County Road 72, just east of Highway 287, for a report of a single-vehicle semi crash.
The initial investigation shows a semi hauling a tanker with fuel rolled off the side of the road. Colorado State Patrol Hazmat units responded to the crash for a leak on the tanker.
West Larimer County Road 72 was closed for investigation. Currently, there is no time frame for reopening the road.
