Pueblo Police Arrest Man Accused of Trying to Enter Daycare With Realistic-Looking Water Gun
On May 5, 2026, Pueblo Police Officers responded to the 2000 block of Prairie Avenue after receiving reports of a man with a gun attempting to get into a daycare facility.
Officers located the suspect a few blocks away and identified him as 43-year-old Phillip Martinez. Police officers determined he was carrying a water gun designed to resemble a real firearm.
Martinez was arrested and charged with felony menacing.
All parties considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
