Young Bear Safely Captured on Southside of Pueblo as Wildlife Flees Ongoing Fire Conditions

Description: South-side fire crews assisted Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers and Pueblo Police in safely capturing a one-year-old bear near La Vista Road. Residents are urged to remain alert as wildlife seeks refuge from fires and extremely dry conditions.

Our south side fire crews assisted CPW officers and Pueblo Police Department with the successful capture of an approximately 1 year old bear which was originally spotted near La Vista Rd.

With the continuing fire conditions and unseasonably dry weather we are facing we encourage you to be aware of your surroundings as wildlife seek refuge from the fire.
