Rocky Ford Police, Otero County Deputies Arrest Man on Lamar Warrant Alleging Child Enticement, Sexual Assault and Internet Luring Charges

Man arrested on warrant out of Lamar, Colorado

Rocky Ford, Colo. - July 15th, 2026 - The Lamar Police Department contacted the Rocky Ford Police to locate and arrest Jade Downey (37) on a warrant out of Lamar for: Enticement of a Child (Felony 4), Sex Assault on a Child (Felony 4), Stalking (Felony 5), Internet Luring of a Child (Felony 5), Disclosure of a Private Image for Harassment (Misdemeanor 1), Violation of a Protection Order (Misdemeanor 1) and 2nd Degree Criminal Trespass (Petty Offense).

Rocky Ford Police located Downey at a residence in the county and teamed up with the Otero Sheriff's Office. The team of deputies and officers contacted Downey in the area of Meloneer Drive and Otero County Road EE. Downey was taken into custody and transported to the Otero County Sheriff's Office.

Downey is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
