**Update** Multi-Fatal Crash on Weld County Road 80

Preliminary Crash Details

(WELD COUNTY, COLO) – The ongoing investigation of the fatal crash that occurred on July 25, 2026, on Weld County Road 80 at Weld County Road 39 indicates a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Weld County Road 80. The Chevrolet Tahoe traveled off the roadway and into the north ditch. The Chevrolet drove out of the ditch and back onto the roadway, and rotated before rolling westbound across the County road. The driver and the four occupants were ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

Fatal and Injury Details

  • A 19-year-old male passenger from Eaton, CO was pronounced dead on scene.

  • A 20-year-old male from Eaton, CO was pronounced dead on scene.

  • A 19-year-old male from Greeley, CO was pronounced dead on scene.

  • The driver, a 20-year-old male from Wyoming, is in critical condition.

  • A 19-year-old male passenger from Eaton, CO has minor injuries.

This investigation is ongoing. The Weld County Coroner's Office will identify the deceased once proper next-of-kin notifications have been made.

The eastbound lane was closed for approximately 6 hours. The road was reopened around 11:15 p.m.
