It was a very pleasant day for nine holes of scramble golf for the La Junta Senior Golf League on Tuesday, August 4.  Forty-four golfers broke up into eight teams of five golfers and one team of four. Rick Franco was welcomed to the league as a new player. A challenge chip and a challenge putt were set up on the course, but no one was able to complete either challenge.  In addition, there was a chipping game on the practice green; the team led by Larry Herrera was able to make one special chip to lower their team score. 

Next week the Senior Golf League will meet again on Tuesday, August 11. On three holes, a single club will be designated as the only club that can be used on that hole. Skins will also be paid for these three holes. Registration will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. with teams being picked at 8:45 a.m. No players can be added after this time. Play is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. Please call 719-469-0691 if you anticipate being late for registration but will be able to tee off on time.
