Ruby LaVern (Myers) Schibbelhute, 85, of La Junta, Colorado, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026.

Ruby was born on October 31, 1940, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to James and Verna (Pate) Myers.

Ruby is survived by her son, Deryl Schibbelhute; daughter, Ramona Willoughby; sister, Darlene Stucky; as well as many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Verna Myers, and her husband, James Schibbelhute.

Per Ruby’s request, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held.

Valley Funeral and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
