Single Vehicle Rollover on Highway 550

(COLORADO) – On Saturday, August 29, 2026, at around 3:06 p.m., the Colorado State Patrol was notified of a single-vehicle rollover crash in the area of northbound  Highway 550 near milepost 112 (just north of Ridgway, Colorado).

When troopers arrived, they found a black Ram 2500 that had struck a guardrail and rolled an unknown number of times off the right shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle was occupied by two people, a 43-year-old male and a 30-year-old male, both out of Montrose. Both occupants were transported to a local medical facility and treated for suspected serious bodily injuries.

The roadway was reopened at about 5:39 p.m. The Colorado State Patrol will be the lead investigating agency for this incident.
