Obituary

Nina Lee (Lindner) Robinson passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, at Hamilton County Hospital in Syracuse, Kansas, at the age of 80. She was born on Friday, September 13, 1946, in Syracuse, Kansas, to Clifford and Edrie (Neelly) Lindner.

Nina grew up on her family’s farm north of Kendall, Kansas, where she learned the values of hard work, family, and perseverance. She graduated from Kendall School in 1964 and went on to attend Fort Hays State University, where she proudly played basketball. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 1968.

It was during this time that Nina met Doug Robinson. The two were married on November 30, 1968, and together they welcomed two daughters, Tori Lynn and Teri Lee. After Doug’s passing in 1984, Nina embraced the role of raising her daughters, working hard to provide for them while building a strong and loving family.

Nina was a woman who believed in working hard and making the most of every opportunity. She drove a school bus for the Lakin School District for 15 years and also worked at Jack & Jill before becoming the manager of Presto Convenience Store. In 1994, she bought into her own convenience store and moved to Syracuse. Always willing to learn something new, Nina earned her Class A CDL, which remained valid until her passing. She put that license to use driving a truck cross-country and, for a short time, shagging milk trucks. She eventually became the manager of Love’s Convenience Store, where she worked until her retirement in 2012.

While Nina was proud of her work, her greatest joy was always her family. She rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her daughters and grandchildren. She attended their ballgames and was their biggest fan. Her family could count on Nina to show up, support them, and celebrate their accomplishments.

Nina enjoyed dancing and the simple joy of being surrounded by good company. Her faith and her desire to serve others became an important part of her life. She enjoyed attending church, working at the Christian Academy and Budget Shop, and spending quiet time doing puzzles. She found purpose in staying active and helping those around her.

Nina is survived by her daughters, Tori and Teri (Sebastian); her four beloved grandchildren, Trinity, Keziah (Jaxon), Diego, and Keshell; and her two great-grandsons, Aziel and Uriah. She is also survived by her brothers, Terry (Patty) Lindner and Randy (Regina) Lindner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Edrie Lindner; her husband, Doug Robinson; and her brother, Clifford William “Bill” Lindner.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Syracuse Cemetery in Syracuse, Kansas, with Pastor Joe Gould officiating. Per Nina’s request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation.
