The Colorado State Patrol Is Seeking Witnesses
Pedestrian found with serious injuries
(El Paso County, Colorado) – Last night, on October 9, 2026, at around 8:30 p.m., a Colorado State Patrol Trooper was patrolling in the area of westbound Highway 94 between milepost 8-9 (just north of Schriever Space Force Base) when the trooper noticed an adult male walking in the roadway with obvious serious bodily injuries. The trooper observed no vehicle or mode of transportation in the area of the pedestrian.
The trooper stopped and made contact with the person, and the injured man was transported to a local area medical facility for serious bodily injuries.
The Colorado State Patrol is asking the public who may have been traveling in the area between the time of 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. who may have witnessed the pedestrian walking, or any incident involving the pedestrian, to contact the Colorado State Patrol Dispatch at 719-544-2424 and reference case number VC260371. Be prepared to leave your name and contact information for investigators to contact you.
